STAR Program at Rensselaer

OCTOBER 28-30 APPLY BY SEPTEMBER 24

Rensselaer invites academically talented rising seniors, who are underrepresented minorities or young women, to apply for the STAR (Science, Technology, Arts Program at Rensselaer)

Students accepted to participate in the STAR program will receive a confirmation packet from Rensselaer. The STAR program begins the evening of Thursday, October 28 with a dinner reception and concludes Saturday, October 30 at the close of the Fall Open House.

Weekend activities will include
· Interactive leadership activity
· Academic experience
· Undergraduate research overview and tour of laboratories
· Campus tour
· Student panels
· Student organizations and clubs fair
· Lodging and meals with current students

Students may apply online by September 24 to participate in the STAR Program.

Traveling To Rensselaer

Rensselaer will provide bus transportation for students from the New York metro area. A chartered bus will depart from the Jacob Javits Center on Thursday, October 28 at 1 p.m. If you are traveling to the Capital District and need transportation to the Rensselaer campus, they will pick you up at the train station, airport, or bus terminal. Please wait for a confirmation packet from Rensselaer before scheduling transportation to campus.
